Scott Limstrom, MD, has practiced with Alaska Retinal Consultants since 2003.
Dr. Limstrom earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry from Northern Arizona University (Flagstaff, Arizona) where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. While at Northern Arizona University, he was elected to the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society and earned the President’s Award for Service as well as the Raymond Award. Dr. Limstrom earned his Medical Degree from the University of Arizona (Tucson, Arizona), where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society and earned the Outstanding Senior Award as well as the Hewlett-Packard Top Medical Graduate Award. He completed an internship at Tucson Hospital’s Medical Education Program (Tucson, Arizona).
Dr. Limstrom completed his residency in Ophthalmology at the University of Arizona and his fellowship in Retina-Vitreous at the University of Nebraska (Omaha, Nebraska). Dr. Limstrom is Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.
Prior to serving as a Retina Specialist at Alaska Retinal Consultants, Dr. Limstrom provided ophthalmological care at Ophthalmic Associates in Anchorage, Alaska, from 1996-2002.
He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the Alaska State Ophthalmology Society. Dr. Limstrom has co-authored many articles regarding basic science and clinical research of vitreoretinal diseases.
